Job summary

Successfactors is seeking an R&D Embedded Software Engineer to join our Platforms team. You will design and implement Linux-based embedded software architectures for edge-computing and computer vision applications, using C++ in user space and C for kernel/bootloader code.

You will port software across hardware platforms, perform debugging and contribute to architecture, requirements, and development guidelines. Fluency in English is required; Italian is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1+ year hands-on experience in Linux embedded systems, C++ and OO design.
• Strong knowledge of C++, design patterns, debugging/profiling tools and SQA practices.
• Experience with Git, Docker, Jenkins and CI/CD; multi-threading; Yocto preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Linux-based embedded software architectures.
• Develop and validate software using C++ (user space) and C (Linux Kernel/Bootloader).
• Port and adapt software across different hardware platforms, processors, sensors and peripherals.
• Debug, maintain and enhance existing software components following SQA best practices.
• Contribute to software architecture, requirements definition, code reviews and development guidelines.
• Explore emerging technologies and contribute to innovation in embedded systems and computer vision.
