BAT Italy is seeking a Business Insights Intern to support the Strategy, Performance & Insights team by turning data into actionable recommendations. You will work with market, brand and competitive performance data to understand market dynamics and inform decisions within a multinational company.

The role offers exposure to cross-market collaboration, hands-on experience with data sources, and opportunities to develop analytical and storytelling skills in a hybrid work environment in Rome.

BAT Italy is looking for a Business Insight Intern.

As a Business Insights Intern, you will support the Strategy, Performance & Insights team in turning data into actionable business recommendations. You will gain hands‑on experience working with market, brand and competitive performance data, helping the business understand what is happening in the market and why.

ROLE OBJECTIVES

• Support the delivery of timely and accurate business insights
• Contribute to the understanding of market trends, consumer dynamics and competitive activities
• Develop analytical and storytelling skills by working with multiple data sources
• Transform data into clear and actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with different teams to support data-driven decision making

What You Will Be Accountable For

• Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly business performance reports
• Monitoring market trends, category developments and competitor activities
• Analyzing sales, market share, pricing and portfolio performance data
• Maintaining reporting tools, dashboards and databases used by the Business Insights team
• Supporting SKU mapping, product tracking and category management activities
• Collecting and organizing competitor and pricing information from different sources
• Contributing to the preparation of presentations and business updates for stakeholders
• Helping improve reporting processes and data quality standards
