Job summary

Trina Solar Co. seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead end-to-end BESS projects in Europe, defining objectives, budgets, schedules, resource allocations, and performance metrics.

You own the technical scope, specify components, validate design, and coordinate FAT/SAT along with integration planning. You will act as the primary technical liaison among internal teams, clients, and suppliers, supervise the design process for contractual alignment, and guide commissioning to ensure seamless

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role in renewable energy (PV, Wind, Microgrid, or BESS).
• Strong knowledge of BESS components, PCS, and substation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of project plans with objectives, budgets, schedules and metrics.
• Own the technical scope of BESS projects, including component specification and design validation.
• Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT for major components (batteries, PCS, PPC, SCADA).
• Act as technical liaison between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Supervise the design process to meet contractual obligations and specs.
• Manage commissioning and seamless integration of BESS into the energy system.
• Prepare documentation for client handover with version-controlled records.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers across teams.
