Job summary

KIGYO is seeking a Project Director to lead two new BESS manufacturing facilities in Italy, coordinating technical, commercial and contractual workstreams. The role interfaces with our client, project partner, Italian government, suppliers and contractors, with a view to achieving successful financial close and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Deep technical knowledge of batteries and BESS technology.
• Experience delivering major industrial, manufacturing or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial and contract management capabilities.
• Senior stakeholder management across complex, multi-party environments.
• Fluent Italian with strong knowledge of the Italian market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of two BESS manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee the project from development through construction and readiness.
• Define how the facilities will be developed, structured and operated.
• Select and manage suppliers, contractors and technical partners.
• Oversee contracts, budgets, timelines and project risks.
• Coordinate multiple technical and commercial workstreams.
• Build the core team and organisational structure around the facilities.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including project partners and government representatives.
