Job summary

Leonardo’s Helicopters Division is seeking a SubSystem Engineer to join the Avionics Systems Development Engineering team, focusing on Display Systems and HMI. You will design and develop safety-critical avionics applications using Model-Based Design, with emphasis on graphical systems, pilot interaction, and human factors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a technical field.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and SW development (C/C++).
• Knowledge of Real Time Safety Critical Embedded SW development aspects.
• Interest in Human Machine Interface (HMI) aspects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for avionics display systems (PFD, MFD, Touchscreens, Helmet Mounted Displays) using Model-Based Design.
• Implement graphics for touchscreen displays with proper HMI and pilot workload considerations.
• SW lifecycle management per applicable standards (DO-178C, DO-331, ARP4754A).
• Integrate Application SW on target systems and collaborate with hardware/software teams.
• Define SW requirements and perform verification and certification activities.
