Job summary
Leonardo SpA in Italy seeks a SubSystem Engineer for Avionics Systems Development, focusing on display systems and HMI. The role covers modeling, HMI design, graphical implementation, SW integration and verification to meet aerospace safety standards.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to DO-178C/ARP4754A compliant development and certification activities while using Model-Based Design with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ in a hybrid work setup.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering with focus on Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
- Experience with embedded avionics and safety-critical SW.
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ for real-time systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded software for avionics display systems (PFD/MFD/Touchscreens) using Model-Based Design.
- Implement graphical HMIs with attention to pilot workload and flight test operations.
- Manage software lifecycle per DO-178C/DO-331/ARP4754A standards.
- Integrate Application SW on target hardware, perform requirements definition and verification.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams across disciplines.
