Job summary

Leonardo SpA is seeking a SubSystem Engineer for its Avionics Systems Development Engineering team in Italy. The role focuses on display systems, HMI, and safety-critical embedded software using Model-Based Design.

You will model, design, verify, and certify software for avionics platforms, integrating with hardware and other domains. Responsibilities include GUI/Touchscreen graphics, SW lifecycle management per DO-178C/ARP4754A, and collaboration across hardware, software, and systems

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and safety-critical SW.
• Knowledge of DO-178C/DO-331 and ARP4754A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded avionics software for display systems.
• Implement graphical HMI for PFD/MFD/touchscreens.
• Manage SW lifecycle per DO-178C and related standards.
• Integrate Application SW on target hardware and collaborate with hardware teams.
