Job summary

PPG Industries seeks an Engineering & Logistics Manager to lead Automation Engineering, Maintenance, and Internal Logistics at the site. You will drive planning, development, and continuous improvement of automation, maintenance, and warehouse operations to achieve safe, cost-efficient manufacturing performance.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of about 15 employees and partner with Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems and maintenance management.
• Experience in warehouse operations and logistics coordination.
• Knowledge of utilities engineering and chemical process risk management.
• Proven track record managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation engineering strategies aligned with site objectives and long-term needs.
• Oversee feasibility studies, engineering design, and project planning for assets.
• Define and manage capital investment plans and forecasts for automation.
• Oversee design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of automated production equipment.
• Identify and implement engineering solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Manage engineering budgets and ensure on-time, within-cost project delivery.
• Support engineering procurement activities from requirements to supplier selection.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external contractors.
• Monitor project execution for compliance with specs and timelines.
• Manage change requests, variations, and project documentation.
• Provide regular progress updates to plant leadership.
• Lead maintenance activities with external providers and drive TPM initiatives.
• Ensure equipment reliability and safety compliance.
• Redesign and optimize warehouse processes and material flow.
• Define and monitor logistics KPIs and SLAs.
