Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina is preparing a luxury alpine resort opening in Winter 2026. The Assistant Financial Controller will oversee the hotel's accounting, internal controls and reporting during pre-opening and ongoing operations.

Based in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the role requires 3–5 years in accounting within hospitality, fluent English and Italian, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach to coordinate with Finance, IT, Purchasing and Operations.

Competenze

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in accounting or hotel finance, preferably luxury five-star hospitality.
• Experience as Assistant Financial Controller or similar hotel finance role desirable.
• Pre-opening experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Understanding of hotel financial operations including AP, AR, income audit, GL and cost control.
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High integrity and discretion with confidential financial information.
• Fluent English and Italian with strong collaboration across departments.

Mansioni

• Assist with establishing the Finance function and pre-opening readiness.
• Support implementation and testing of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Help develop financial policies and internal controls in line with Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Set up chart of accounts, processes and departmental reporting structures.
• Assist with pre-opening budget preparation and monitoring.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of Finance staff.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and operations on procedures and controls.
• Support banking, cash handling, accounts payable/receivable and income audit processes.
• Participate in system testing and pre-opening readiness activities.
• Work closely with Finance, IT, Purchasing, People & Culture and operations.
