CALIBRE Systems, Inc. in Vicenza, Italy, is seeking a Transition Counselor to support the Army Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

The role offers full-time hours and a path to help transitioning Soldiers prepare for post-military employment, education, and other career pathways. You will guide participants from enrollment to Capstone completion, develop Individual Transition Plans, and ensure CRS readiness while coordinating with VA, DoL, and education partners.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience counseling or advising individuals regarding employment, education, career planning, benefits, military transition, workforce development, or community resources.
  • Experience supporting the Army Transition Assistance Program or similar workforce development and career readiness programs.
  • Experience providing case management services and maintaining detailed client records.
  • Experience facilitating group instruction, workshops, presentations, or training programs.
  • Experience utilizing computer-based systems to document services and manage client information.

  • Conduct initial counseling sessions, assess transition readiness, interpret assessment results, and assign appropriate service tiers in accordance with Army TAP requirements.
  • Assist clients in developing, updating, and executing Individual Transition Plans aligned with employment, education, entrepreneurship, vocational training, and personal goals.

  • Coordinate referrals and warm handovers to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, educational institutions, employment resources, community organizations, and other support agencies.
  • Support intake, registration, classroom logistics, attendance tracking, records management, participant surveys, and other administrative functions.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews, staff training, reporting activities, outreach initiatives, mobile support efforts, and surge coverage assignments as required.

CALIBRE is seeking a Transition Counselor to support the Army Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The Transition Counselor serves as a trusted advisor and primary case manager for transitioning Soldiers and eligible clients, providing individualized counseling, group instruction, and comprehensive transition support throughout the military-to-civilian transition process. This position plays a critical role in helping clients successfully prepare for post-military employment, education, entrepreneurship, vocational training, and other career pathways.

The successful candidate will guide participants from initial counseling through Capstone validation, helping them develop and execute Individual Transition Plans (ITPs), complete Career Readiness Standards (CRS), and access available resources and support services. The Transition Counselor must be skilled in case management, adult learning, counseling, customer service, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring compliance with Army TAP policies and contractual requirements.

Summary

The Transition Counselor provides individualized counseling, group instruction, and lifecycle case management to transitioning Soldiers and eligible clients. This position serves as the primary case manager from enrollment through transition completion, helping participants achieve transition readiness, meet Career Readiness Standards, and access resources necessary for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to protect personally identifiable information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Government suitability, installation access, Common Access Card (CAC), and system access.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Army Transition Assistance Program policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Career Readiness Standards, Individual Transition Plans, and Capstone processes.
  • Knowledge of military transition challenges and available veteran support resources.
  • Ability to coordinate services across multiple agencies and community partners.
  • Experience providing virtual counseling and instruction.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience counseling or advising individuals regarding employment, education, career planning, benefits, military transition, workforce development, or community resources.
  • Experience supporting the Army Transition Assistance Program or similar workforce development and career readiness programs.
  • Experience providing case management services and maintaining detailed client records.
  • Experience facilitating group instruction, workshops, presentations, or training programs.
  • Experience utilizing computer-based systems to document services and manage client information.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior military service, military spouse experience, or direct experience supporting Service members, veterans and military families.
  • Experience supporting the Army Transition Assistance Program or similar workforce development and career readiness programs.
  • Knowledge of Army TAP curriculum, Career Readiness Standards, Capstone requirements, SkillBridge/Career Skills Programs, and interagency transition resources.
  • Professional certification in career counseling, workforce development, coaching, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience providing services in military, veteran, government, workforce development, or higher education environments.
