Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Milano is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deepen expertise in power systems and SEL products, and to help customers apply SEL solutions through site visits, demonstrations, training courses, and phone support.

You will provide imaginative, practical solutions, contribute to product specifications and literature, and participate in marketing, sales activities, and SEL University courses while upholding SEL values and manufacturing

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Typically 6+ years of experience in power systems and related practices
• Ability to write and speak English coherently
• Excellent technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills
• Strong communicator who identifies ways to improve customer experience and fosters collaboration
• Ability to lead tasks and inspire others while upholding integrity

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop expertise of power systems, focus area*, and all related SEL products.
• Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
• Provides solutions to a wide variety of increasingly difficult problems. Solutions are increasingly imaginative, thorough, and practical. Independently supports customers for at least two knowledge areas of their specialization field.
• Contributes to product specifications, application and testing software, and literature.
• Participates and presents at SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
• Teaches SEL University courses within core area.
• Publishes multiple application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference papers.
• Provides assistance on products and applications to engineers, associates, and interns.
• Regular contributions through customer feedback process, FAQ entries, IMI teams, and improving SELU training material. Identifies WCM initiatives and leads efforts to improve.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)
• Typically 6+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and focus area*
• Ability to write and speak English coherently
• Excellent technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills
