Job summary

Akamas is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer in Italy to educate the market about AI-powered autonomous optimization and Akamas’ approach. You will combine hands-on technical work with storytelling, create compelling content, deliver demos, and engage with the technical community across conferences, meetups, and online forums.

Travel to the US and EU as needed; remote-first mindset; compensation includes a base salary with a variable component tied to sales performance.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in DevOps and cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes.
• Passion for technical storytelling and speaking at meetups, conferences, and community events.
• Strong writing and communication skills for technical content and product messaging.
• Ability to translate technical features into compelling value propositions.
• Willing to travel in the US and EU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent Akamas at conferences, meetups, and webinars with engaging presentations.
• Share insights on performance engineering, SRE, AI-driven optimization, and DevOps automation.
• Engage with developer, DevOps, and performance engineering communities through social media, forums, and industry discussions.
• Gather market feedback to align messaging with customer pain points and industry trends.
• Create and publish technical content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and guides.
• Partner with Sales Engineering to develop content based on customer projects and build demos.
• Work with Product to translate capabilities into compelling benefits.
• Develop messaging for performance engineers, SREs, DevOps, and platform engineers.
• Develop and deliver technical product demos for engineers, DevOps teams, and executives.
