Scalapay S.R.L. is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and deliver high-performance, secure REST APIs powering our consumer banking experiences. You’ll work spec-first with AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while upholding quality, security and compliance.

Join an AI-first fintech team applying modern technologies like NestJS, TypeScript and scalable microservices on AWS. You will own API design, integration with banking partners, and build event-driven features in a fast-moving

Competenze

5+ years of backend development experience, including banking platforms and system integrations.
3+ years with NestJS and TypeScript, or comparable frameworks/languages.
Proven AI spec-driven development: shipped production software by specifying, directing and validating AI coding agents.
Strong MySQL and/or PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query optimisation and indexing.
Deep knowledge of REST API design, plus GraphQL experience (code-first and schema-first).
Track record of finding and fixing API performance bottlenecks, including caching systems.

Mansioni

Write clear specifications and technical designs for AI coding agents to implement.
Take ownership of AI-generated code ensuring security, performance and PCI DSS compliance before shipping.
Use AI across the development lifecycle: testing, reviews, documentation, debugging and incident analysis.
Help shape AI tooling, prompts and guardrails to automate development over time.
Design, build and maintain REST APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.
Ensure security measures including authentication and encryption across services.
