Job summary

Generali Group is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to identify, design and manage AI-driven analytics solutions. You will lead end-to-end initiatives, balancing business cases, budgets and cross-functional delivery across data science, automation, and IT architecture teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Data Scientist in a consulting firm or in a company.
• 1-2 years managing AI, digital transformation or operational projects.
• Degree in mathematics, CS, engineering, economics or physics.
• Experience with Python data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Numpy, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience designing, developing and evaluating ML models (clustering, classification, regression, forecasting).
• Excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Good command of English (B2).
• Strong teamwork, autonomy, proactivity and result orientation.
• Strong communication with various organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Drive project setup and scope analysis; build a business case and design target solutions
• Define priorities, budgets, and oversee internal and external service providers
• Coordinate development of analytical components and lead Data Scientists in ML model work
• Oversee deployment with Automation Engineers and IT Architects
• Ensure buy-in and effective execution through cross-functional stakeholder engagement
• Maintain regular interaction with business functions and management for project alignment
