Orient Express La Minerva in Rome is seeking a Commis de Cuisine to support the culinary team in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards in a luxury five-star hotel.

You will work with experienced chefs, handle ingredients, follow HACCP, and help ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining cleanliness and safety across the kitchen.

This role offers learning and development opportunities and exposure across the Orient Express properties.

Competenze

• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred.
• Previous internship or experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering operations is considered an asset.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Mansioni

• Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, fish, sauces, and garnishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items for restaurants, banquets, room service, breakfast, and special events.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to hotel quality standards.
• Support the brigade during service periods while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating products according to FIFO procedures.
• Follow HACCP procedures and food safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, work areas, and storage rooms.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of food products.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations.
