Job summary

IHFL in Mumbai seeks a seasoned Training & Capability Development leader to design and implement training strategies for Mortgage, HL, and LAP across the zone. You will lead induction, product, process, sales, and compliance trainings for branch and sales teams to boost capability.

You will identify skill gaps, develop learning interventions, ensure adherence to lending policies and regulatory norms, and monitor effectiveness through assessments and certifications while mentoring regional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering training programs for sales, credit, operations and branch teams.
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks related to retail lending.

• Conduct induction, product, process, sales, and compliance training for branch and sales teams.
• Identify skill gaps and design learning interventions to improve productivity and business performance.
• Ensure employees are updated on lending policies, underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
• Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, certifications, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Business, Operations, Credit, and HR teams to drive capability building and support business growth.
• Lead and mentor regional training teams to ensure consistent learning delivery across the zone.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in the Mortgage, Home Loan (HL), or Loan Against Property (LAP) domain, with a strong understanding of products, processes, and lending operations.
• Proven experience in training and capability development for sales, credit, operations, and branch teams.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks related to retail lending.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in designing and delivering training programs, assessments, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ability to manage training delivery across multiple locations and support business growth through effective learning interventions.
