ADV TECHMINDS in Bengaluru is seeking a Workday Functional Consultant for US Payroll and Expense on a short-term contract. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in US payroll processing, expense management, and system configurations for the US market.

You will configure modules, perform testing, support UAT, ensure compliance with US payroll laws, and train end-users while collaborating with cross-functional teams across India.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years overall experience with US Payroll & Expense processes, including 2–4 years relevant.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, tax rules, and statutory requirements.
• Experience configuring payroll and expense modules and supporting UAT and post-go-live support.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business requirements for US Payroll and Expense.
• Configure payroll and expense modules per client needs.
• Perform functional testing, validation, and UAT support.
• Provide post-go-live support for payroll or expense issues.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Functional Consultant with hands-on experience

in US Payroll and Expense Management to join our team on a short-term contract basis. The

ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, expense policies,

compliance requirements, and system configurations relevant to the U.S. market.

This role will involve working closely with clients at various locations in India and collaborating

with cross-functional teams to implement, configure, and support payroll and expense modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business requirements related to US Payroll and Expense processes.
• Configure payroll and expense modules as per client needs.
• Perform functional testing, validation, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide post-go-live support and resolve any issues related to payroll or expense transactions.
• Coordinate with technical teams for issue resolution and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with US payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Train end-users on payroll and expense system functionalities.
• Document functional specifications, workflows, and standard operating procedures

Required Skills

• 24 years of hands-on experience in US Payroll and Expense processes.
• Familiarity with payroll tax calculations, payroll calendars, deductions,
• garnishments, and compliance.
• Experience with expense reporting systems (e.g., Concur, Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms).
• Strong understanding of US labor laws, payroll tax regulations, and audit
• requirements.
• Ability to interact with clients and manage functional deliverables independently.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work from multiple client locations in India.
• Workday Certification is mandatory.

Good to Have

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.).
• Exposure to integration between Payroll and Financial systems.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and reporting.
