Job summary

Movate Technologies in Chennai seeks a seasoned Windows and VMware Systems Administrator to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade infrastructure. You will manage AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and backup/recovery while administering VMware vSphere, vSAN, SRM, and Horizon deployments to support a diverse user base.

The role requires hands-on experience with VxRail, Nutanix AHV, storage networking, and scripting in PowerShell for automation.

Responsibilities

• Active Directory design and troubleshooting (AD DS, FSMO roles, replication, trusts).
• Group Policy design and troubleshooting.
• DNS with AD-integrated zones; troubleshooting DNS.
• DHCP scopes, failover, and reservations.
• Backup & Recovery using Veeam/Commvault/NetBackup including AD system state restore.
• PowerShell scripting (added advantage).
• vSphere 7/8/9 (ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS, vLCM).
• vSAN storage policies, health checks, and DR setups.
• VxRail & Nutanix AHV deployment and upgrades (health).
• Site Recovery Manager (SRM) & vSphere Replication for DR orchestration.
• vRealize/Aria Operations for monitoring & capacity planning.
• VMware Horizon deployment & troubleshooting.
• Nutanix Prism AHV lifecycle & health.
• Storage & Networking (VMFS/NFS, vSwitch/vDS, iSCSI/FC).
• vMotion / Storage vMotion / DRS affinity rules.
