Qualifications

6-10+ years of storage administration experience.

Experience with Windows Server infrastructure and server hardware.
Knowledge of DR, backup technologies and ITIL-based service management.
Familiarity with SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel and storage networking.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS).
Provide L3 storage support, incident resolution and RCA.
Coordinate with backup teams for restore operations and DR drills.

Position: Storage L3 Core Administrator

Experience: 6-10+ Years

Location: Noida (Onsite)

Shift: 24x7 Rotational Support

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Storage L3 Core Administrator to manage, support, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise Storage along with Virtualization, and Windows Infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will provide L3 support for critical production environments, lead incident resolution, support infrastructure projects, and ensure high availability, security, performance, and compliance across storage and virtualization platforms. The role requires strong expertise in Storage Administration along with VMware, Nutanix, Windows Server Infrastructure, Cisco UCS, Disaster Recovery, Backup Technologies, and ITIL-based Service Management.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Administration

Managing and monitoring enterprise storage systems such as SAN/NAS
Supporting storage provisioning, LUN creation, allocation, and expansion
Monitoring storage capacity, performance, and availability
Working with technologies such as Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, or IBM depending on the environment
Supporting Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and storage networking
Troubleshooting storage alerts, connectivity, performance, and capacity issues
Managing backup and restore operations and coordinating with backup teams
Performing storage provisioning and decommissioning based on application requirements
Monitoring storage using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or vendor-specific management platforms
Following incident, change, and problem-management procedures
Creating documentation, operational procedures, and daily/monthly storage reports
Participating in maintenance activities, upgrades, migrations, and disaster-recovery exercises
Candidate should have sound experience on Virtualization, Cluster and Storage concepts and good working knowledge on Virtualization platforms (VMware + Nutanix)
Working experience on Installation and Upgradation of vCenter, ESXi/AHV OS
Capability of VMware ESXI / Nutanix Patch management and Troubleshooting
Managing / Troubleshooting VMWare virtualization, Nutanix, Cisco UCS/ ESXi and Windows platforms
Should have knowledge of DR activity and replication concept
Knowledge of VM creation, upgrade VMTools, Alter compute resource of existing VM, aware of VMware / Nutanix concepts
Works closely and effectively with all levels of management to satisfy project and productivity requirements
Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers
Providing technical support knowledge
Troubleshooting system and connectivity server errors
Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors
Managing user / admin access
Monitoring system performance
Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups
Basic knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
Should have ability to analyze and remediate windows vulnerability
Ability to handle/manage Priority P1/P2 calls
Should have knowledge of Business continuity mechanism and SLA management
Quick learning and problem-solving skills would be required
Firm knowledge of UCS infra / DELL/ HP (Physical Server build activity / Lan management/ upgrade knowledge, Service profile creation etc..)
Basic knowledge of AWS/Azure Infra Management
Basic knowledge of mechanism cloud-based backup/Druva
Should have knowledge of SERVICE NOW ticketing tool and also aware of SNOW change management process
Windows infrastructure needs to configuration maintenance optimization and documentation
Should have capability of handling P1 issues and coordinating with OEM/Vendor
Knowledge of IT security principles
Ready to work with 24 * 7 rotational shift

L3 Support & Troubleshooting

Act as the highest escalation point for storage-related incidents
Troubleshoot complex storage, replication, performance, connectivity, and hardware issues
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical and recurring incidents
Handle Priority P1/P2 incidents and coordinate with OEMs and vendors for resolution
Ensure minimal downtime in production environments

Virtualization Administration

Manage VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments
Install, configure, and upgrade:
- VMware ESXi
- VMware vCenter
- Nutanix AHV/AOS
Perform VM lifecycle management including:
- VM Creation
- VM Migration
- VM Snapshot Management
- VMware Tools Upgrades
- Compute Resource Modifications
Execute ESXi and Nutanix patch management
Troubleshoot VMware, Nutanix, and cluster-related issues

Server & Infrastructure Management

Manage Windows Server infrastructure and related services
Build and maintain Dell, HP, and Cisco UCS-based physical server environments
Configure and manage:
- Service Profiles
- LAN Connectivity
- Firmware Upgrades
- Hardware Maintenance
Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows servers
Review system logs and resolve server-related incidents
Manage replication technologies and DR solutions
Participate in DR drills and business continuity planning
Ensure recovery objectives are met as per SLA requirements

Monitoring & Performance Management

Analyse utilization trends and system performance
Recommend infrastructure improvements and optimization initiatives
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports

Security & Compliance

Support infrastructure security and vulnerability remediation
Analyse and remediate Windows vulnerabilities
Maintain compliance with organizational security standards and audit requirements
Ensure backup integrity and secure infrastructure operations

Change & Service Management

Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management
Manage ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets and change records
Prepare implementation plans, risk assessments, and rollback procedures
Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades
