Job summary

Lifestyle is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Planner in Bengaluru to orchestrate daily inbound schedules, coordinate with transporters, and ensure dock readiness and manpower alignment for timely receipts.

You will oversee vendor documentation, gate-in checks, unloading operations and dock optimization, while maintaining SAP EWM/S/4HANA transactions, recording KPIs and supporting daily and weekly reviews with the SCM team.

Qualifications

• Experience in inbound receiving planning and dock operations.
• Familiarity with SAP EWM or S/4HANA.
• Ability to coordinate with transporters and vendors.

• Generate and review discrepancy reports for shortages, damages, or mismatches.

Key Job Responsibilities

Daily Receiving Planning

• Plan daily inbound schedules based on ASN (Advance Shipment Notice), Purchase Orders, and transfer plans.
• Coordinate with transporters and vendors for vehicle arrival schedules.
• Ensure dock availability and manpower allocation before vehicle arrival.
• Monitor inbound volumes and prioritize urgent receipts.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors regarding unloading plans.

Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers regarding shipment documentation.
• Follow up for pending shipment details.
• Ensure all vendor documentation is complete before receipt generation.
• Escalate discrepancies in delivery schedules.

Vehicle Receiving & Unloading Management

• Gate-In Process
• Verify vehicle details against approved shipment schedules.
• Validate delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR copies, and other shipment documents.
• Ensure timely gate entry and vehicle registration.

Unloading Operations

• Supervise unloading of cartons, pallets, hanging garments, and loose units.
• Ensure safe material handling practices.
• Verify vehicle seal integrity where applicable.
• Record unloading start and completion times.
• Monitor unloading productivity metrics.
• Dock Management
• Manage dock allocation efficiently.
• Prevent congestion and delays.
• Ensure adherence to dock turnaround targets.

Discrepancy Reporting

• Identify:
• Shortages
• Excesses
• Wrong articles
• Duplicate deliveries
• Damaged goods
• Barcode mismatches
• Generate discrepancy reports and escape to concerned stakeholders

Systems WMS / ERP

• Operate hands-on in SAP EWM and S/4HANA — inbound and outbound delivery processing, warehouse tasks and orders, physical inventory and stock movements.
• Enforce system-first transaction discipline: no physical movement without a system transaction, and no day closed with open documents.
• Maintain master data hygiene — storage bins, handling units, packaging specs, UOM and warehouse process types.

Reporting & Review Mechanism

• Daily: shift handover and performance review on dock-to-stock, OTIF, order pendency, manpower attendance and safety incidents.
• Weekly: operations review on productivity, audit points and manpower plan versus actual.
• Monthly: business review with the GM — KPI dashboard, cost and productivity trend, improvement projects and action-closure status.
• Publish accurate, on-time dashboards and MIS to SCM leadership and internal stakeholders.
