Job summary

Dentalkart is hiring for a senior Operations & Strategy role overseeing a large warehouse operation. You will design layouts, optimize processes, and drive capacity planning to support business growth. Lead a 50-100+ staff team and partner with procurement, logistics, and tech teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

You will implement WMS/ERP improvements, manage safety and regulatory readiness, and build a performance-driven culture with accountability at all levels.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of warehouse/operations experience
• At least 3 years in a managerial role
• Pharma/medical devices/e-commerce fulfillment experience preferred
• Deep expertise in WMS/ERP and inventory controls
• Strong analytical skills with Excel and Zoho

Operations & Strategy

• Design and optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and SOPs for dental products (devices, consumables, equipment, cold-chain where applicable)
• Own capacity planning - space utilization, manpower, and equipment aligned to business growth
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives (WMS upgrades, barcode/RFID, conveyor systems)
• Set and monitor warehouse productivity benchmarks; continuously improve throughput

Inventory Control

• Ensure near-zero variance between system and physical inventory through robust cycle count programs
• Establish FEFO/FIFO protocols and expiry management systems for consumables
• Own shrinkage, damage, and dead-stock reduction targets
• Liaise with procurement on replenishment planning and demand forecasting

Team Leadership

• Lead a team of 50-100+ warehouse staff (assistant managers, executives, helpers, contract labor)
• Recruit, train, appraise, and develop warehouse personnel
• Build a performance-driven culture with clear accountability at every level

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with procurement, logistics, customer ops, and tech teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
• Coordinate with 3PL/courier partners for outbound SLA adherence
• Work with finance on inventory valuation, write-offs, and audit readiness

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with safety norms, fire regulations, and labor laws
• Maintain audit-ready warehouse at all times (internal + statutory)
• Handle regulatory requirements for medical device storage (if applicable)

Reporting & Analytics

• Publish weekly/monthly warehouse performance dashboards to leadership
• Analyze trends in errors, delays, and costs; present actionable insights

Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or MBA (Operations preferred)
• 8-12 years of warehouse/operations experience; at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Prior experience in pharma, medical devices, or e-commerce fulfillment strongly preferred
• Deep expertise in WMS/ERP
• Strong analytical skills - Excel, Zoho
