Job summary

AP Management Consultants is seeking a warehouse professional in Puducherry, India, to manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch to ensure smooth material flow.

The role requires coordinating inbound and outbound movements with suppliers and internal teams, maintaining stock records in ERP/WMS, and enforcing FIFO/FEFO where applicable. Attention to inventory levels and cycle counts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments.
• Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, delivery challans, invoices, and quantity/quality requirements.
• Ensure proper material identification, labeling, bin allocation, and systematic storage.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory transactions in ERP/WMS systems.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, slow-moving and non-moving materials.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counting and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain GRN, stock transfer, delivery, dispatch, and other warehouse documents.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Sales, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams for smooth material flow.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle loading, unloading, route/dispatch schedules, and transporter follow-up.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
• Monitor warehouse space utilization and ensure proper material stacking and housekeeping.
