Job summary

Avanti Overseas in Uttar Pradesh is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee storage, packing and dispatch operations. The role ensures adherence to schedules, accuracy in inventory, and proper documentation while coordinating with transporters for timely loading.

The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, manage manpower, and enforce safety and 5S standards to minimize damages and shortages across all warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse management operations.
• Ability to plan dispatch and execution as per schedules.
• Strong inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
• Proficient in order fulfilment including packaging and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain storage, identification, stacking and movement of finished goods and materials.
• Ensure dispatches per schedule and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock verification.
• Ensure correct SKU, quantity, packaging, labeling before dispatch.
• Monitor dispatch timelines and ensure on-time shipments.
• Prepare accurate dispatch documents and invoices.
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics teams for timely loading.
• Minimize damage, shortages and pilferage.
• Manage warehouse/dispatch manpower and productivity.
• Uphold warehouse safety, 5S and PPE practices.
• Daily/weekly MIS reporting on dispatches, inventory and KPIs.
• Control warehouse operating costs.

Job description

1. Warehouse ManagementMaintain proper storage, identification, stacking and movement of finished goods and materials; optimum utilization of warehouse space.

2. Dispatch Planning & ExecutionEnsure 100% dispatches as per approved schedule, customer requirements and production plan.

3. Inventory AccuracyMaintain physical vs. system inventory accuracy; conduct regular cycle counts and stock verification.

4. Order FulfilmentEnsure correct SKU, quantity, packaging, labelling and documentation before dispatch.

5. On-Time DispatchMonitor dispatch TAT and ensure shipments leave within committed timelines.

6. Documentation & ComplianceEnsure invoices, packing lists, e-way bills, shipping documents and other dispatch documents are accurate and complete.

7. Loading & Transportation CoordinationCoordinate with transporters, logistics teams and production for timely vehicle placement, loading and movement.

8. Damage & Loss ControlMinimize product damage, shortages, wrong dispatches, pilferage and handling losses.

9. Manpower ManagementAllocate warehouse/dispatch manpower, monitor productivity, attendance, overtime and discipline.

10. Safety & 5SEnsure warehouse safety, proper material stacking, PPE, housekeeping, 5S and safe loading/unloading practices.

11. MIS & ReportingDaily/weekly reporting of dispatches, pending orders, inventory, shortages, damages, vehicle status and warehouse KPIs.

12. Cost ControlControl loading/unloading, packaging, transportation, overtime and warehouse operating costs.

13. CoordinationEffective coordination with Production, PPC, Sales, Purchase, Finance, QA/QC and HR.

14. Process ImprovementIdentify bottlenecks and implement improvements in warehouse layout, dispatch process, inventory control and manpower productivity.

15. Customer ServiceEnsure timely and accurate dispatches with minimum customer complaints related to shortages, wrong items, delays or damages.
