Job summary

Tata AutoComp in Maharashtra's Chakan area is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Associate to receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, verify quantities against POs, and maintain proper storage with FIFO/FEFO practices.

You will coordinate dispatches, prepare documents like delivery challans and invoices, track stock movements in SAP, conduct cycle counts, and support audits while collaborating with procurement, production, and planning teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving and inspecting materials per POs and invoices.
• Ability to record stock movements and maintain accurate records.
• Strong coordination with procurement and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming raw materials, purchased parts, consumables, and packaging materials.
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Maintain proper storage locations and material identification as per company standards.
• Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) / FEFO practices for inventory management.
• Conduct regular stock verification and cycle counts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to prevent stock shortages.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP systems.
• Track stock movements and update warehouse documentation.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
• Support internal and external inventory audits.
• Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Prepare dispatch documents such as: Delivery Challans, E-Way Bills, Invoices, Packing Lists, Transport Documents.
• Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and loading of materials.
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics service providers for timely shipments.
• Track dispatched goods and ensure proof of delivery is obtained.
• Supervise loading and unloading activities.
• Ensure safe handling of automotive components and finished goods.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization.
• Maintain orderly storage to minimize damage and losses.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry quality standards.
• Maintain 5S standards within the warehouse.
• Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and storage practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, Planning, and Logistics teams.
• Communicate dispatch schedules and inventory status to relevant stakeholders.
• Support production requirements through timely material availability.
