Job summary

Alpha Pharma Healthcare Pvt Ltd is seeking a warehouse assistant to support day-to-day pharmaceutical warehouse operations in Maharashtra. You will receive, inspect, store, and dispatch medicines, ensuring FEFO/FIFO compliance and accurate stock records.

The role requires basic pharmacology knowledge and a focus on accuracy, safety, and documentation. Ideal candidates have a D.Pharm and strong attention to detail, with computer skills for ERP and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• D.Pharm qualification with basic knowledge of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
• Basic understanding of batch number, expiry date, MRP, quantity, and pharmaceutical stock management.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify product/quantity discrepancies.
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and inventory/ERP software.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to learn pharmaceutical warehouse operations.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Receive medicines and verify quantity, product name, batch number, expiry date, and condition.
• Arrange and store medicines systematically in designated locations as per procedures.
• Follow FEFO and FIFO principles wherever applicable.
• Check stock for damaged, leaking, expired, or near-expiry products and report discrepancies.
• Assist in picking medicines against invoices, sales orders, and dispatch requirements.
• Verify product name, strength, quantity, batch number, and expiry before packing and dispatch.
• Ensure proper packing and handling to prevent damage during storage and transport.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the warehouse.
• Assist with stock counting, inventory, and reconciliation of stock differences.
• Update stock records in ERP/software and maintain warehouse documentation.
• Segregate expired, damaged, returned, or rejected medicines in designated areas.
• Handle customer/supplier returns and maintain records.
• Follow temperature and storage requirements and report deviations.
• Ensure medicines are stored safely away from heat, moisture, dust, etc.
• Support loading and unloading of consignments and prevent product damage.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Accounts, and Delivery teams for orders.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and pharmaceutical/warehouse regulations.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or Pharmacist.

• Update or assist in updating stock records in the ERP/software and maintain necessary warehouse documentation.
• Segregate expired, damaged, returned, or rejected medicines in the designated area as instructed.
• Assist in handling customer/supplier returns and maintain appropriate records.
• Follow temperature and storage requirements for medicines and promptly report any deviation or storage-related issue.
• Ensure that medicines are stored safely and are protected from excessive heat, moisture, dust, and other unsuitable conditions.
• Support loading and unloading of pharmaceutical consignments while taking care to avoid product damage.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Purchase, Accounts, and Delivery teams whenever required for smooth order processing.
• Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable pharmaceutical/warehouse regulations.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Pharmacist.
