Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting patients between wards, diagnostic areas, OT, ICU, and other departments.
• Assist patients with movement and transfers as directed by nursing staff.

• Assist in preparing beds and patient-care areas.
• Transport medical records, samples, equipment, and supplies as authorized.
• Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned ward areas.
• Assist with shifting patients using appropriate safety procedures.
• Support emergency patient movement when required.
• Assist in receiving and transferring patients.
• Maintain ward equipment and supplies in designated locations.
• Report patient-care area issues or equipment problems to nursing staff.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, hygiene, and hospital procedures.
• Respect patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
