Ward Boy - Ward Lady is responsible for assisting in patient care support, daily ward activities, cleanliness, hygiene, patient movement, basic comfort support, and helping nursing staff during routine hospital work. The role requires discipline, teamwork, positive attitude, willingness to learn, patient-friendly behaviour, and commitment to quality care. Prior hospital experience will be an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with movement, wheelchair support, stretcher transfer, and shifting.
• Support nursing staff in routine ward activities and non-clinical patient assistance.
• Help patients during admission, transfer, discharge, and investigation movement.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of wards, beds, equipment, and patient care areas.
• Assist in bed preparation, linen coordination, and ward readiness under supervision.
• Carry reports, samples, files, medicines, and ward-related materials as instructed.
• Help elderly, weak, or dependent patients with basic comfort support.
• Report patient discomfort, spills, unsafe conditions, or urgent requirements to nurses.
• Coordinate with nurses, housekeeping, diagnostics, front office, and support teams.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, and biomedical waste instructions.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and respectful behaviour during assistance.
• Follow hospital discipline, uniform, duty timing, and reporting standards.
• Support emergency patient movement whenever required.
