Job Description

Consultant - Gynecologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to women across a range of gynaecological conditions. The includes patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, management of reproductive and gynaecological disorders, procedural and surgical care, counselling, follow-up, and coordination with nursing, anaesthesia, laboratory, and other clinical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

• Evaluate patients with gynaecological and reproductive health concerns.
• Obtain detailed medical and reproductive histories.
• Perform appropriate gynaecological examinations.
• Diagnose and manage common and complex gynaecological conditions.
• Review ultrasound, laboratory, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized medical and surgical treatment plans.
• Perform gynaecological procedures and surgeries within professional scope.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative clinical management.
• Manage menstrual, hormonal, reproductive, and other gynaecological disorders.
• Assess and manage acute gynaecological conditions and emergencies.
• Provide counselling regarding treatment options and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with radiology, laboratory, anaesthesia, nursing, and other departments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when appropriate.
• Support inpatient and outpatient consultations.
• Provide appropriate referrals to other specialists when required.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality initiatives, and case discussions.
