Job summary

Tata AutoComp in Chakan, Maharashtra, seeks an experienced Welding Shop Supervisor to oversee daily weld shop operations and ensure production targets are met. You will monitor line performance, cycle times, and OEE, and coordinate with Press Shop, PPC, Quality, and Maintenance teams for seamless production flows.

The role requires 3–6 years in automotive manufacturing and at least 3 years in weld shop supervision, with preference for experience in sheet metal, stamping, BIW, or automotive

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Weld Shop supervision.
• Experience in Sheet Metal, Stamping, BIW, or Automotive Component Manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily weld shop operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Monitor line performance, cycle time, OEE, and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to production plans and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Press Shop, PPC, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Manage spot welding, MIG welding, projection welding, robotic welding, and assembly processes as applicable.
• Ensure proper welding parameters and process controls are maintained.
• Monitor fixture conditions, welding electrodes, jigs, and tools.
• Manage operators and team leaders across shifts.
• Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
• Conduct skill matrix reviews and employee training.
• Maintain discipline and shop-floor housekeeping.
