Topgear Consultants in Mysuru invites an experienced Production Engineer / Shop Incharge for our Aerospace Manufacturing division. You will lead fabrication execution, production planning, shop floor management, and quality compliance to meet daily targets.
The role requires hands-on knowledge of aerospace fabrication and processes, with responsibility for manpower, continuous improvement, and adherence to AS9100, NADCAP standards within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- BE or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy or relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in aerospace fabrication and production planning.
Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor production plans (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Manage shop floor activities and shift operations.
- Handle aerospace fabrication involving Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel & Titanium.
- Ensure targets are achieved within timelines.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, PPC & SCM teams.
- Maintain production records, logbooks and work instructions.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor cycle time reduction and process efficiency.
- Handle new product development during trial production.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO and NADCAP standards.
- Manage manpower planning, training and discipline.
- Monitor non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure calibration of gauges and measuring instruments.
