Job summary

Valvo Fluid Power in Chennai is seeking a Welder to perform welding and fabrication in a hydraulic equipment manufacturing environment. You will execute MIG, TIG and Arc welds, read drawings and welding symbols, select appropriate parameters, and ensure the structural integrity of frames and components.

The role requires reading basic drawings, maintaining weld quality, and coordinating with fitters and the production team to meet deadlines while upholding safety standards and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Check welded joints for quality, strength and dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and rectify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut and incomplete penetration.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinate with fitters, machinists and production team to complete jobs on time.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet required quality standards.
• Maintain proper use and care of welding equipment, tools and PPE.
