Job summary

SATRAC, Bengaluru, Karnataka, is seeking an experienced Production/Fabrication professional to drive shop floor operations with focus on material readiness, manpower, and adherence to safety and quality standards while delivering on daily targets.

The role emphasizes heavy fabrication, welding, painting and machine shop processes, with a strong Kaizen and continuous improvement drive to reduce costs and boost productivity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Production / Fabrication in manufacturing.
• Hands-on exposure to heavy fabrication, welding, painting and machine shop processes.
• Experience in shop floor production management and manpower handling.
• Exposure to contract manpower management and production planning.
• Knowledge of quality, productivity and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving with Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Ability to coordinate with Quality, PPC, Maintenance and SCM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of materials for smooth production operations.
• Identify root causes and implement countermeasures to achieve zero repetitive issues with Quality.
• Develop and implement Jigs, Fixtures and Poka-Yoke for standardization and faster production.
• Drive productivity, quality and cost improvement on the shop floor.
• Monitor daily production targets, manpower utilization and process efficiency.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and production standards.
