Job summary

Tata Technologies seeks a Simultaneous Engineering Simulation & Tool Design Engineer in Pune to drive BIW simultaneous engineering and tool design, leveraging Catia, Autocad, TCUA, and Process Simulate. The role requires strong process engineering skills and hands-on experience with robotic body shop processes.

The candidate should have 3-9 years in mechanical/production/automotive domains, exposure to global automotive clients, and a solid understanding of BIW assembly and tool validation.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automotive/Design.
• 3-9 years of domain experience in BIW Simultaneous & Process Engineering.
• Tools knowledge: Catia, Autocad, TCUA, Process Simulate.

Responsibilities

• Joinery study
• Define Process as per product geometry.
• Feasibility study and process engineering
• BIW tool validation to check feasibility.
• Weld distribution, gun selection, gun sectioning
• Cycle time chart preparation
• Feasibility study
• Weld shop Line Layout planning
• Process engineering and Cycle time
• Exposure to robotic Body shop process
• Basics of Robot application
• Safety standard
• Good understanding of BIW assembly process for fully robotic and semi-automatic line.
• Exposure of Tool design
• Worked with Global Automotive Clients
• Knowledge of Simulation standards of Auto OEMs
• Validation of processes in work cells / stations
• Workout different option and Layout
• Quality Checks as per Standards
