Job summary

Electro Pneumatics and Hydraulics India Pvt Ltd in Pune seeks an experienced Senior Engineer to lead machining operations on the shop floor. You will plan daily production, supervise CNC processes, and drive improvements to meet engineering drawings and specifications.

You will mentor operators, manage WIP, coordinate with vendors, and ensure on-time dispatch while implementing Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and CAPA actions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in CNC machining and supervising shop floor.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience with ERP/SAP and Lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of components as per the dispatch plan.
• Plan and schedule daily production activities and machine loading.
• Monitor WIP and production status through ERP/SAP.
• Coordinate with vendors for outsourced machining components.
• Ensure daily production confirmation and dispatch of jobs to stores.
• Supervise and manage shop floor machining operations.
• Drive process improvement and machining optimization initiatives.
• Ensure precision machining of complex components as per drawings and specifications.
• Provide technical support during machining failures, tool breakages, and process deviations.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement CAPA.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor machine operators to enhance productivity and skills.

• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol or similar CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with CAM Software.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Currently working as Senior Engineer (Machining), Machine Shop Supervisor, CNC Programming Lead, or Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
• Strong exposure to machine shop production planning and shop floor management.
• Proven experience in handling complex machining operations and leading teams.
• Ability to take quick technical decisions during breakdowns and critical production situations.
• Good leadership, communication, and people management skills.
