Job summary

Renew is hiring for a Shop Floor Management role in Gujarat, India. You will oversee manpower planning, training, and shop floor control to ensure we meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage KPIs, and coordinate with supporting functions to ensure on-time product delivery with adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of production and quality control principles.
• Solar background is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong supervising abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manpower planning and ensuring proper trained/untrained ratio.
• Improve First Test Failure rates at production stages.
• Collect and analyze rejection data.
• Train new operators.
• Prepare skill matrices for operators.
• Maintain shop floor inventory control.
• Lead by example for a safe, efficient workplace.
• Meet quality standards and satisfy internal/external customers.
• Monitor KPIs and achieve targets.
• Drive team performance with clear direction and feedback.
• Ensure safe working practices and adherence to Standard Operations.
• Encourage a high-performance culture with continuous improvement ideas.

Shop Floor Management

• Manpower Planning
• To maintain a proper ratio of trained and untrained employees
• Improvement in FTF (First Test Failure) at different stages of production
• To collect and analyze rejection data
• Training of New Operator
• Skill Matrix Preparation For Operator
• To keep inventory control in the shop floor
• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times
• Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
• Ensuring the KPIs are monitored and targets achieved.
• Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance
• Ensure safe working practices are maintained and 'Standard Operations' adhere to
• Motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced.
• Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications
• Communicate with the teams by utilizing visual management, delivering shift briefs with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement
