Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to lead and manage the company's complete Purchase and Procurement function.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, supplier development, vendor management, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, Purchase Order management, cost control, inventory coordination, delivery follow-up, and procurement planning.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in independently managing purchase operations and multiple suppliers and product categories. Experience in industrial tools, engineering products, manufacturing materials, consumables, and general procurement will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the complete Purchase and Procurement activities of the company.
- Develop effective sourcing and procurement strategies based on business and operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers and alternative vendors.
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare quotation comparisons and comparative statements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, credit periods, and other commercial terms.
- Manage the complete procurement process from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and delivery completion.
- Monitor Purchase Orders, pending orders, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid shortages and operational delays.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, pricing, service, and delivery performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost-control measures.
- Coordinate with Management, Sales, Technical, Warehouse, Stores, Finance, Operations, and other departments regarding purchase requirements.
- Monitor inventory requirements and support proper material planning and stock availability.
- Handle supplier issues related to delayed deliveries, shortages, damaged materials, incorrect supplies, and quality concerns.
- Develop strong vendor relationships and negotiate long‑term commercial arrangements where required.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation, including PRs, RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, POs, supplier records, contracts, delivery documents, and invoices.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, pending orders, supplier performance, purchase costs, and cost savings.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and internal controls.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate the Purchase team to ensure efficient and timely completion of all procurement activities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance, and overall purchasing efficiency.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Procurement, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven experience in independently managing end-to-end Purchase and Procurement operations.
- Strong experience in vendor sourcing, supplier development, vendor management, and commercial negotiation.
- Excellent knowledge of RFQ processes, quotation comparison, Purchase Orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Experience in handling multiple suppliers and product categories.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, cost reduction, inventory coordination, and delivery management.
- Experience in leading and managing a Purchase team will be preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP / Purchase Management Software.
