Job Objectives
To manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services, build strong supplier relationships, and maintain compliance with company procurement policies to support seamless project execution.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage end-to-end procurement: sourcing, negotiation, vendor selection, and purchase order issuance.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships.
- Evaluate vendor performance on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service standards.
- Coordinate with project sites, stores, and accounts teams for seamless material flow.
- Prepare purchase budgets, cost analysis, and MIS reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Maintain all purchase documentation and records accurately in ERP systems.
- Forecast material requirements in collaboration with project planning and execution teams.
- Handle urgent and emergency purchases efficiently and within approved budgets.
- Oversee logistics coordination for incoming materials and equipment.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering in procurement.
- Manage rate contracts and annual supply agreements with key vendors.
- Supervise and guide the purchase team to ensure timely completion of procurement activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management is an added advantage.
Years of Experience
5+ Years of procurement experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or automobile industry
Person Requirements
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and ERP systems.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Experience in construction or automobile sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for cost analysis and reporting.
- High integrity and strong ethical standards in vendor dealings.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement assignments and deadlines.
