Job summary

Saraswati Enterprises Nashik in Nashik seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Leader to design and develop systems, balancing budget, timelines and resources for timely, quality delivery.

You will report to company heads, allocate tasks, review 3D CAD models and GD&T, drive standardization and safety compliance, run tests, assist tender teams, plan with CAD tools, troubleshoot issues, and pursue continuous improvement in mechanical design.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production
• Deep familiarity with machinery, safety protocols, and production methodologies
• Expertise in Production Planning and Control (PPC)
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and data-driven waste reduction and OEE enhancement

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, keeping in mind the budget, timelines and other essential resources
• Report to the company heads regarding the status of each project
• Allocate tasks, set development timelines, manage engineering budgets, and ensure deliverables meet project schedules
• Review and approve 3D CAD models, detailed 2D production drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications.
• Drive design standardization, modularization, and best practices in CAD and engineering tools while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards (ISO, IS, IEC, ANSI).
• Perform regular tests and experiments to determine how to better improve a component.
• Assist tender and proposal teams with technical inputs, address client queries, and support customer design approvals
• Use CAD and 3D CAD programs to plan the mechanical design projects
• Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them
• Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum

Preferred candidate profile

• 1.Typically 5 to 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• 2.Deep familiarity with the specific industry's machinery, safety protocols, and production methodologies (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, assembly lines, or chemical processing).
• 3. Expertise in Production Planning and Control (PPC), capacity planning, resource allocation, and inventory management
• 4.A strong mindset for continuous improvement, utilizing data-driven methods to eliminate waste, reduce downtime, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
