Metal Profiles Ltd in Indore is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to manage press shop quality, perform dimensional inspections, and drive corrective actions. You will support new part trials, update control plans, and ensure adherence to IATF 16949 standards.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with measurement tools, and effective communication to coordinate with tooling teams and production. On-site position in Indore, India.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Perform part setup approval and ensure quality standards.
• Conduct in-process inspection of press shop components.
• Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Calibrate measuring instruments and gauges.
• Analyze rejections, deviations, and defects to drive improvements.
• Identify root causes and implement CAPA.
• Support new part development and trial runs.
• Coordinate tooling corrections with Tool Room.
• Monitor quality KPIs and report performance.
• Lead audits to ensure IATF compliance.
• Maintain master samples, drawings, control plans.
• Participate in Red Bin Meetings and issue closure.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform part setup approval and ensure compliance with defined quality standards.
• Conduct in-process inspection of press shop components.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Operate and handle measuring instruments and gauges for dimensional inspection.
• Analyse press line rejections, dimensional deviations, and surface defects.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Reduce rejection and rework through defect analysis and process improvement.
• Support new part development and conduct trial runs for new tooling.
• Coordinate with the Tool Room team for tooling corrections and improvements.
• Maintain quality records in compliance with IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
• Conduct process audits and product audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Monitor and report quality KPIs, including rejection, rework, and process performance.
• Participate in Red Bin Meetings and drive timely closure of quality issues.
• Monitor 4M changes (Man, Machine, Material, and Method) and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain master samples, inspection records, engineering drawings, and control plans.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Press Shop Quality and Manufacturing Processes.
• Understanding of IATF 16949:2016 quality management requirements.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection, measuring instruments, and gauges.
• Ability to analyse defects and perform root cause analysis.
