Job summary

NASH group in Pune, India seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to drive all QA activities through incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring IATF 16949 and customer requirements are met.

You will lead audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and Six Sigma, mentor the QA team, and coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and NPD to deliver quality across new product launches.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end QA activities across incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Ensure IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Drive 8D, 5 Why, and root cause analysis methodologies for problem solving.
• Monitor KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, and rejection rates.
• Lead internal/process audits and support external/customer audits.
• Develop and implement CAPA for quality issues.
• Implement APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC (Core Tools).
• Manage supplier quality performance and coordinate supplier development.
• Lead and mentor the quality team to achieve operational excellence.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and NPD for quality improvements.
• Ensure calibration/maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Drive Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers.
• Ensure quality documentation, SOPs, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support new product development and launches.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality standards.
• Drive customer complaint resolution using 8D, 5 Why, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Monitor and improve key quality KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, and rejection rates.
• Lead internal audits, process audits, and support external/customer audits.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
• Ensure effective implementation of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC (Core Tools).
• Manage supplier quality performance and coordinate supplier development activities.
• Lead and mentor the quality team to achieve operational excellence.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and NPD teams for quality improvements.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma practices.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers.
• Ensure adherence to quality documentation, SOPs, control plans, and work instructions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Preference for candidates with experience in sheet metal stamping, welding, tube bending, and fabrication processes.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
• Hands-on experience in handling OEM/Tier-1 customer audits and customer complaint resolution using 8D methodology.
• Good understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection techniques.
• Proficient in the use of quality measuring instruments such as CMM, Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
• Experience in leading teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with automotive customers such as Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, or other OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers will be an added advantage.
