Job summary

A2z Filtration Specialities in Haryana, India, invites a skilled Press Shop Production Supervisor to manage daily production activities, ensure targets, and uphold quality. The role requires knowledge of sheet-metal processes, machine operation, and TPM/Lean practices, with a focus on 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores and guide operators across shifts.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of press shop manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of sheet-metal stamping, blanking, bending, piercing, forming, and drawing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Able to work in shifts.
• Knowledge of TPM.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control daily production activities in the press shop.
• Achieve production targets as per the production plan while maintaining required quality standards.
• Operate and monitor hydraulic/pneumatic press machines and related equipment.
• Ensure proper setting and changeover of dies, fixtures, and tools.
• Monitor machine performance, cycle time, productivity, and downtime.
• Identify and resolve production issues, machine abnormalities, and process-related problems.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Stores for smooth production flow.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of dies, tools, raw materials, and finished components.
• Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, and material wastage and implement corrective actions.
• Follow and improve 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, process parameters, safety, PPE requirements.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, downtime reports, rejection reports, and other required documentation.
• Train and guide operators and helpers on process, quality, safety, and machine operation.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Support new product development, process trials, die trials, and process improvements when required.

• Knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
