Job summary

Trident Polymers is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of rubber parts on the shop floor. You will interpret drawings, apply GD&T, and ensure products meet customer specifications before dispatch.

You will maintain rejection and calibration records, implement 5S and Kaizen activities, train new inspectors, and drive CAPA/RCA under IATF16949. This is an on-site Pune role.

Qualifications

• Experience in dimensional and visual inspection per control plans.
• Knowledge of drawing specifications and GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems.
• Experience with RCA, CAPA and 8D problem solving.
• Ability to maintain inspection records and reports.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Performed Dimensional & Visual Inspection of Rubber parts.
• Maintained and compiled Rejection, Rework, and Inspection Reports.
• 3Conducted In-process Inspection, Setup Approval, and Incoming Material Inspection.
• Hands-on experience with precision instruments: Vernier calliper, Profile Projector, Hardness Tester etc
• Knowledge of drawing specifications and tolerance limits and GD&T.
• Supported implementation of 5S and Kaizen activities on shop floor.
• Interpreted engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.
• Coordination with production for defect analysis and feedback loop.
• Ensured compliance with IATF16949:2016 quality management system.
• Inspected precision Camshafts & Gears using advanced gauging systems (Air gauges, Profile Projectors, Dial Bore Gauges, etc.).
• Performed detailed dimensional and visual inspections as per control plans and GD&T standards.
• Ensured final products met customer specifications before dispatch.
• Training newly inducted inspectors on inspection processes and gauge handling.
• Conduct awareness training sessions related to customer complaints and quality standards.
• Maintain FGI inspection records, rejection logs, and final audit reports.

• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools (Pareto, Fishbone, Histogram, Control Chart, etc.).

• Developed Rework Procedures for rejected parts to reduce scrap and improve recovery.
