Job summary

Viencee Pharma Science in Dehradun seeks a skilled machine operator to run capsule filling, blister packing, and cartoning lines. You will set up machines per approved product specs, perform in-process checks, verify batch details, ensure correct materials, and maintain clean work areas following SOPs and GMP requirements.

You will document deviations, line clearances, and production records, coordinating with QA and engineering as needed.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical machines, including SA9 Capsule Filling, Alu-Alu Blister Packing, and Cartoning Machines, as per approved operating procedures.
• Perform machine cleaning, area cleaning, and line clearance before starting production or packing operations.
• Verify product name, batch number, and other relevant details against approved batch manufacturing or packing documents.
• Check the availability, identity, status, and correctness of approved raw materials and packaging materials before use.
• Set and adjust machine parameters according to approved product specifications and machine operating procedures.
• Operate the SA9 Capsule Filling Machine for capsule filling operations, ensuring proper machine settings, capsule feeding, filling consistency, and output quality.
• Operate the Alu-Alu Blister Packing Machine and monitor forming, product feeding, sealing, coding, perforation, and cutting operations.
• Operate the Cartoning Machine and ensure proper carton erection, product insertion, leaflet insertion, coding, and carton closing.
• Perform routine in-process checks to ensure product quality, correct identification, filling accuracy, packaging integrity, and coding accuracy, as applicable.
• Identify, segregate, and report rejected, damaged, defective, or improperly coded products and packaging materials according to approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, in-process check records, rejection details, machine stoppage records, and equipment logbooks.
• Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns, abnormalities, and deviations to the Production Supervisor and Engineering Department.
• Follow GMP, SOPs, safety requirements, and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements throughout operations.
• Maintain machine and workplace cleanliness according to approved cleaning procedures.
• Perform product changeover, machine setting, and format-part change activities only as authorized and trained.
• Ensure proper reconciliation, accounting, and return of unused materials according to company procedures.
• Immediately report deviations, product mix-ups, contamination risks, equipment malfunctions, and quality-related issues to the concerned supervisor.
• Assist the Engineering Department with routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance activities, as authorized.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Engineering teams to ensure smooth and compliant manufacturing and packaging operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass / 12th Pass.
• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 or more years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging machine operations.
• Experience operating capsule filling, Alu-Alu blister packing, and cartoning machines is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of machine operation, line clearance, cleaning procedures, in-process checks, and GMP requirements is essential.
• Freshers are not eligible to apply.
• Willingness to work in shifts as per company requirements.
