Job summary

DMart in India seeks a production operator to manage packing lines and machinery setup, ensuring targets are met with strict quality and hygiene standards. The role involves supervising 5-6 team members and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in FMCG/food industries, an ITI qualification in mechanical or electrical trades, and strong problem-solving abilities. The position is baseline on-site with potential for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years.
• Age: up to 29 years.
• Industry: FMCG, Bakery, Dairy, Grocery or any Food Industry.
• Qualification: ITI (Mechanical, Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Mechanist and Electrical).
• Key Skills: Knowledge of machinery, safety protocols, problem solving and go getter.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing machines (weighing, filling, sealing, labeling, coding).
• Set up machines for different products/SKUs as per production plan and achieve the production target.
• Monitor packing line for correct weights, sealing quality, and labeling accuracy.
• Perform routine machine checks and preventive maintenance.
• Report breakdowns or abnormalities to the maintenance team immediately.
• Ensure hygiene & safety standards during operations.
• Record daily production, downtime, and wastage details.
• Support quality team during in-process checks and audits.
• Manage a team of 5-6 team members and allocate the work based on their skill.
