Job summary

Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL) seeks an experienced Machine Operator to run 10- and 12-track VFFS sachet packing lines in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will set parameters, monitor quality, ensure GMP compliance, and maintain accurate production records in coordination with QA, maintenance and stores teams. Rotational shifts and strict SOP adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / 10+2 (technical preferred)
• 25 years hands-on experience operating multi-track VFFS packing machines in food/FMCG.
• Experience with rotational shifts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate 10- and 12-track VFFS packing machines for sachet packing.
• Set and adjust parameters such as sachet size, filling weight, sealing temperature, and speed.
• Ensure laminate loading, alignment, and tracking.
• Perform start-up, changeover and shutdown per SOP.
• Maintain production and quality records and assist in SAP transactions.
• Coordinate with QA, maintenance and stores teams.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Machine Operation

• Operate 10-track and 12-track multi-track packing machines for sachet packing.
• Set and adjust machine parameters such as sachet size, filling weight, sealing temperature, and speed.
• Ensure proper laminate loading, alignment, and tracking.
• Perform start-up, changeover, and shutdown activities as per SOP.

Production & Output Control

• Achieve target output with minimal downtime and wastage.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities.
• Maintain hourly production, rejection, and downtime records.
• Support OEE improvement initiatives.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure proper weight accuracy and seal integrity.
• Carry out in-process quality checks as per SOP.
• Ensure batch coding, MRP, and manufacturing details are correct.
• Coordinate with Quality team during trials and audits.

Safety & GMP Compliance

• Follow all safety, EHS, GMP, and BBS guidelines.
• Ensure use of appropriate PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the machine.
• Report unsafe acts, near misses, and hazards immediately.

Basic Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine cleaning and inspection.
• Identify issues such as film tracking, sealing defects, and weight variation.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and PM activities.

Documentation & SAP Coordination

• Maintain machine logs and production records.
• Coordinate material issue and return transactions in SAP.
• Ensure correct RM and PM consumption as per plan.

Team Coordination

• Guide helpers and contract labours during packing operations.
• Support training of new operators.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams.

Technical Skills Required

Qualifications & Experience

Education: ITI / Diploma / 10+2 (Technical preferred)

Experience: 25 years of hands-on experience in operating multi-track VFFS packing machines, preferably in food, seasoning, or FMCG industries.
