Job summary

Dason Industries in Chennai, Tamil Nadu is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead shop-floor activities and ensure meeting customer requirements through efficient operations. Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in production management.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production activities on the shop floor to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure efficient use of resources including manpower, CNC machines, VMC, VMC programming, CNC programming, setter activities, rejection control, shift planning, and OEE optimization.
• Implement Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste in machine shop operations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for line balancing, machine scheduling, Poka Yoke implementation, cycle time reduction (CTR), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Monitor quality standards by controlling defects per million opportunities (DPMO) and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles such as 5S system maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives like kaizen events.
