Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Machine Shop (CNC) Engineer to lead a shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will be the primary bridge between the shop floor and management, offering hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership.

You will drive daily targets, maintain on-time delivery, uphold quality standards, investigate defects, and drive CAPA actions while optimizing uptime and cost. This role demands clear communication and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC operations and programming is required.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, OEE, QMS is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
  • Maintain on time delivery of components as per plan.
  • Maintain daily shift efficiency as per the TQM objectives.
  • Ensure products are manufactured as per quality standards.
  • Reduce rejection rates and implement corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
  • Reduce the rework hours.
  • Inspections and Quality Checks.
  • Troubleshooting and Defect Analysis.
  • Adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Communication and Reporting of NCs.
  • Improve overall components effectiveness and productivity.
  • Optimize machine utilization and cycle times.
  • Control operational costs by reducing tool consumption, rework and idle time.
  • Achieve targets for cost per component/machine hrs.
  • Coordination with Production and Cross-Functional teams.
  • Maximizing Uptime and Minimizing Downtime.
  • Emergency Response and Risk Mitigation.
  • Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts and machines.
  • Develop and motivate the shop floor team for performance and skill enhancement.
  • Minimize machine downtime through coordination with the maintenance team.
  • Support preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.

Job Description

Machine Shop (CNC) Engineer - Technical leader, responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality production on their assigned shift. Serve as the primary point of contact for their team and is the bridge between the shop floor and management. Should have hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and effective communication skills to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment
