Job summary

Voltjet Electricals seeks a skilled PLC/HMI Automation Engineer to design, program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation systems. The role covers PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panels, and integration of machines at customer sites.

You will work with leading PLC platforms and protocols, perform commissioning and testing, and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial machines.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled PLC / HMI Automation Engineer responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial automation systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panels, industrial communication protocols, and machine commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial machines and automation systems.
• Design and develop HMI screens, alarms, recipes, trends, and operator interfaces.
• Work with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, or equivalent.
• Configure and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems.
• Perform machine commissioning, testing, debugging, and site installation.
• Develop and troubleshoot communication between PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, sensors, robots, and other automation equipment.
• Work with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, RS-485, etc.
• Understand electrical control circuits, I/O systems, sensors, actuators, VFDs, servo drives, and control panels.
• Prepare I/O lists, control logic, electrical/automation documentation, and commissioning reports.
• Diagnose machine faults and provide corrective solutions.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, production, and maintenance teams during machine development and commissioning.
• Provide technical support to customers and maintenance teams.
• Ensure automation systems meet safety, quality, and performance requirements.

Required Skills
