Job summary

XEXAGON in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India is looking for an automation engineer to design, program, test, and commission industrial automation systems for diverse customer projects.

You will work with PLCs from Siemens and others, develop HMI/SCADA solutions, configure drives, prepare electrical drawings, and support site startups with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Automation Engineering.
• Strong PLC programming, HMI, and SCADA development experience.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and motion control.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and electrical panel design.
• Site commissioning and FAT/SAT exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions per project requirements.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs from Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Delta, and Schneider.
• Develop and test HMI/SCADA systems and commission at sites.
• Configure VFDs/Servo drives and motion control systems.
• Prepare electrical drawings, IO lists, BOMs, and technical docs.
• Perform panel testing and FAT/SAT.
• Support commissioning and startup at customer locations.
• Integrate systems using Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, CANopen.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and teams.
• Ensure on-time project completion and compliance with safety.
