Job summary

Suyash Global, a manufacturing MSME with 800+ employees, seeks an experienced HR Leader in Navi Mumbai/Mumbai to manage end-to-end HR operations. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management and engagement while ensuring strict statutory compliance.

You will partner with plant leadership, drive HR policies, manage labor-law audits, and build strong industrial relations. Must have 10+ years in HR, with managerial exposure and MBA/PGDM in HR.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a managerial exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of factory-related labour laws and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals across recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Own end-to-end HR operations for manufacturing units with compliance and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Shops & Establishments Act and labour laws (PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, minimum wages).
  • Liaise with factory inspectors and authorities; manage licenses, renewals, and audits.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for workers; resolve grievances and maintain good industrial relations.
  • Drive HR policies suitable for manufacturing MSMEs; partner with plant leaders on manpower planning and welfare initiatives.

Experience - 10+ Years, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial/team-lead HR role

Industry - Manufacturing — One-Stop Engineering Subcontracting Solutions (Precision CNC Machining, Specialized Machining, Sheet Metal Pressing & Forming, Fabrication & Assembly; ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 13485:2016)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of HR professionals, building their capability across recruitment, employee relations, compliance and HR operations.
  • Own end-to-end HR operations for the manufacturing units — recruitment & onboarding, attendance & payroll inputs, performance management, employee engagement and exits.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, and all applicable statutory and labour laws (PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Contract Labour Act, and related state-specific regulations).
  • Liaise confidently with factory inspectors, labour officers and other government/statutory authorities; manage audits, registers, licences and renewals.
  • Act as a trusted, approachable point of contact for workers and staff — resolve grievances, mediate disputes, and maintain harmonious industrial relations on the shop floor.
  • Drive HR policies and practices suited to an MSME/manufacturing environment — practical, compliant, and easy to implement on the ground.
  • Manage contract labour and manpower agencies, ensuring compliance and smooth workforce planning for production requirements.
  • Partner with plant leadership and department heads on manpower planning, discipline, safety culture and employee welfare initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, training & development, and retention initiatives across all levels of the workforce.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful exposure to a managerial or team-lead capacity.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing company or MSME set-up is essential
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Factories Act, statutory compliance requirements for factories, and labour laws (PF, ESIC, Bonus Act, Payment of Wages Act, Contract Labour Act, Gratuity Act, etc.).
  • A genuine people person — approachable, empathetic and an excellent communicator, able to build trust with workers, staff and management alike.
  • Comfortable working closely with shop-floor teams as well as senior leadership.
  • Based in, or willing to be based in, Mumbai or Navi Mumbai.
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Personnel Management or related discipline (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
  • High integrity, discretion and sound judgement in handling sensitive employee matters.
